A purrfectly patient purring patient

I attended an event for cat people held at Queens Park Pet Hospital a few days ago.

Queens Park Pet

It was a very informative and interesting event. The doctors and veterinary assistants put on a demonstration showing the audience what a cat exam looks like at their clinic.

If I were a cat I might be purring too. It almost looked like the cat was there for affection, yet everything the vet did was demonstrating to us something she checked for.

The lovely patient purring patient was a volunteer, not a sick cat. It was a rescue they told me, as I asked what kind of cat it was.  Was it a she or a he? What a beautiful cat, I think it was a she. The lovely colours and subtle stripes gave it the look of a Bengal with the soft grey brown tones of a Persian and the purest dignified look of a Siamese and a touch of Siberian. Yet I don’t know my cats. It was fun comparing it to the pictures of all of those breeds.

Well, I did take a picture with my phone, not a great one, and the colours did not come out as clear for me as a guide for my painting, yet I do think this is a good likeness of this purrfectly patient patient.
