Shiba Inu

The dog originates from Japan

This is an adorable dog that looks so much like a fox, one might be fooled, except for the fact that they are sweet, friendly and very loyal. Not much like a fox at all. And, they bark. Not like a fox, who- what does the fox say anyway?

The Shiba Inu is a very clean dog, not one who likes to play in the dirt.

This dog has many characteristics similar to a cat. It licks its paws and cleans itself. They are also aloof like cats can be.

They can be good watch dogs.

These dogs seem to have a personality, a bit of a comic.

They do not bark much and they bond closely with their person.

 

It is also a strong dog and the owner need to be aware that if rules are not set, the Shiba will set them. This dog is not for everyone.

 The dog is a hunter by instinct.

It weighs between 15 and 25 pounds. Its life span is generally 12 to 15 years.

be warned, they really do have a mind of their own.
